REFLECTION QUESTIONLand Use Forest-Friendly Foods 1How is your diet currently impacting deforestation? What can you do to decrease your negative impact and increase your positive impact?
Madeline Winans 4/05/2018 1:05 PMThe coffee I make at my house is not certified by the Rainforest Alliance. I want to find a brand that has less of a negative impact on the environment, but I also want to support a Fair Trade Certified brand. I haven't yet been able to find a brand that has both certifications, but I'm still looking!-
Krystina Jarvis 4/06/2018 1:59 PMPlease keep us posted if you find something! I should look into the coffee I make at home too.

REFLECTION QUESTIONTransport Use Muscle PowerHow do your transportation choices affect your engagement in your community? Does your experience differ while walking, riding transit, biking or driving?
Madeline Winans 4/05/2018 12:55 PMWalking, riding public transportation, and driving, (the three means of transport I typically use) all provide varied types of community engagement for me. When walking, I feel most engaged with my surroundings, and I am more likely to pay more attention to the community around me and have a greater appreciation for it. Public transportation sometimes allows for engagement with my fellow community members, but driving offers very limited options for this type of engagement with my surroundings. I would say from this perspective, walking is the most rewarding means of transport.
