April 25 at 11:11 AMI've really enjoyed this challenge. I have learned a lot and have made better choices. I've enjoyed this format of self-managed commitments, check-ins and completions. Cool program! Thank you! 😃

April 24 at 3:19 PMI'm making a map of U-pick berries. Every kid should pick berries in the fields at least once, to know where food comes from. If anyone has a berry site I should know about, ping me!

April 24 at 2:40 PMThis was my 2nd year volunteering with St. Louis Earth Day's Recycling On The Go program at the Earth Day Festival. I remove recyclables and compostables from the trash waste, and I also get to help educate festival attendees about what they can compost and recycle. It's a really good feeling to personally move pounds and pounds of...

April 22 at 8:33 AMDonated to The Nature Conservancy this morning, and now heading to volunteer with Recycling On The Go at St. Louis Earth Day Festival. Happy Earth Day, all. 😃

April 19 at 12:01 PMWow. My husband and I were going through the canned goods the other day, many of them several years old. Instinctively, my position was to ignore the expiration dates and smell the food. Turns out I was right: expiration dates are largely a marketing ploy. I'm a little surprised, but not really.

April 19 at 11:53 AMI watched the video and will try the quiche recipe, but I'm looking for the print-out. Otherwise, it all gets frozen until it goes into the soup pot!

April 18 at 1:07 PMI also went to the "Chef's Garage Sale" last weekend, which was a fundraiser for all farmers markets in the Saint Louis area. We have too many farmer markets in STL and so they all need to work together in order for the farmers to make money. It's like having too many McDonald's restaurants - if there are too many on each corner,...
