    I've been very busy, and it's  been hard to find time to check in. I'm just now starting to get my head above water, so I should be able to complete more actions and send proposals to the team.

    I enjoyed reading about the geothermal ground source heat pump system on the EMNRD website. The system will pay itself off in ten years, and it saves them $3,500 per year on utility bills. If you're setting up a 30 year mortgage, that's a good deal.

    I try to always use reusable bags at the store, but sometimes I forget to bring them in with me.  I purchased a reusable bag with its own stuff sack for $5 at the La Montanita Coop.  Stuffed it is about fist size and easily fits in my purse.  Now I will always have a bag handy!

    I am flying United and the carbon offset button is a bit hard to find on the bottom of your itinerary page. For round trip flight to Boston from San Francisco, the carbon offset was only $8.68, well worth the money considering how big of a footprint this leaves.

    REI invests in both solar and wind energy.  I am a long time member of REI.  I just purchased a Hydro Flask stainless steel water bottle from REI.
