REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricity Generation Choose Renewable Energy or Purchase Renewable Energy CreditsYour utility company is able to tell you your average energy usage. Ask them how your energy usage compares to others in your zipcode, and in your state. What steps can you take each day to reduce your electricity usage?
Liz Adams 4/13/2018 6:41 PMTo reduce our electricity usage, we had a home energy audit performed. We also installed new HVAC system with a heat pump and new ducts. We also added insulation in the attic. We use all LED lights, and wash our clothes with cold water. We also purchase renewable energy credits from Arcadia.com. We also drive an electric vehicle, that increases our electricity usage, but overall our usage is still less than it was 10 years ago, less than 30 kWh per day. -
