    So far so good. Goin' strong with being more aware of what food I'm wasting. Doing my best to spread the words to friends about not using straws if they don't need them, which is making them more aware as well :-)

    I joined this to be more conscientious of my footprint that I'll leave behind. I consider myself a pretty decent person when it comes to being sustainable (turn off water when I'm not using it, turn off lights when I leave, recycling, not littering, etc) but this past week has taught to really reflect. Every time I use a straw (which hasn't been a lot because I don't drink much coffee, etc) I feel a pang of guilt. I need to be better about carrying my reusable straw! I've been pretty good with not wasting food, but I do notice the food that I do waste isn't a lot, which is good! I'm working on it for sure.

    I'm really excited to officially start tomorrow! As far as I know, I've always been pretty good with not wasting food, or whatever I don't eat at the time, saving it for leftovers if it can be refrigerated and eaten at a later time. I think participating in this challenge for reducing food waste will help me truly realize how much I waste. As the days go on, I'll be adding more challenges to really push myself.
