REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterialsWhat concerns you the most about how we are affecting the planet? Consider both local and global actions.
Claes Andreasen 4/25/2018 11:41 AMThe effects of plastic sickens me. I can see the effects locally, and I've read much about its devastating effects globally. I'm helping to implement a local ban on plastic bags in my town, one small step... -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLand UseWhat did you learn about indigenous peoples' land management that you can apply in your own life?
Claes Andreasen 4/25/2018 11:39 AMits simple, respect your environment like its a vital (and it is) part of your life and well-being. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterialsHow could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle?
Claes Andreasen 4/25/2018 11:37 AMI feel like I recycle as much as possibly, but know that I could do more to try and buy products that come packaged more responsibly. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBuildings and CitiesWhat do you like most about biking in your city? What would you like to improve?
Claes Andreasen 4/25/2018 11:36 AMI love biking in Boston! This is a beautiful city on the water; riding into work along the water, crossing bridges, and smelling the salt air is a great way to start my day. My commute prepares me for the day. The bike infrastructure is good and getting better, and (knock on wood) drivers are becoming more aware and friendly towards cyclists. -
Claes Andreasen 4/25/2018 11:33 AMThis has been an eye-opening experience! -
Claes Andreasen 4/25/2018 11:25 AMgood! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodNow that you know the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates, how will you view expiration dates differently?
-
Claes Andreasen 4/18/2018 8:07 AMToday was cold riding in, but after 10 minutes I was sweating. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportHow do your transportation choices affect your engagement in your community? Does your experience differ while walking, riding transit, biking or driving?
Claes Andreasen 4/18/2018 8:06 AMI always try and chose mass transit or bicycles when taking a trip. With the increasing cost of parking, it almost always makes the best financial (and health) sense. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodFun fact: Your brain and stomach register feelings of fullness after about 20 minutes of eating. While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come out of this?
