REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterialsHow could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle?
Cole Blake 4/23/2018 9:09 AMI can defenitely use the repurpose more in my daily life. I can use this by taking old things that I don't use anymore and turn them into more productive things. I can take old pieces of wood or random materials that were once used for something and make it more helpful. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricity GenerationHad you ever heard of biomass techonology before this? What did you learn that surprised you? Share this with your friends!
Cole Blake 4/19/2018 10:16 AMI have heard small amounts of biomass technology but now I know a lot more about it. The one thing that I can see being a bit of an issue is the regulation of this energy source, but other than that this will be a very effective way for alternative energy. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodHad you heard of the term silvopasture" before now? After learning more about it, what do you think is the biggest advantage of silvopasture?
Cole Blake 4/19/2018 10:03 AMI had not heard of silvopasture before this. The biggest advantage I think is the shade a shelter trees provide for the lifestock. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodAn average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Where would you rather use this money?
Cole Blake 4/19/2018 9:55 AMIn higher income regions major interventions are needed at the retail and consumer levels. In lower income countries, improving infrastructure for storage, processing and transportation is essential.35 prefectnt is approximately wasted. Resources that is wasted as a result of food waste. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportTake a moment to think of places you frequent often (work, grocery store, natural areas). Could you choose one or two days a week to schedule driving with a friend, neighbor or co-worker to these places?
Cole Blake 4/19/2018 9:39 AMPersonally I carpool every day to school and I walk home from school. Although the ride to school is only 5 minutes over the entire year it makes a such impact on the immesions of gasses. Since I walk home this completely eliminates any harm to the enviroment.
