I learned that several countries are working on making contraceptives more available to women to aid with family planning.  The Family Planning 2020 program is helping many of the poorer countries with resources to help them with family planning.

Food Learn the Truth About Expiration Dates
Now that you know the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates, how will you view expiration dates differently?

I know about them now!  None of those are expiration dates.  They are dates indicating the freshness of food.  We don't want to strictly use dates for safety anyway, because mishandled food can go bad, even before the date on the package.  We need to look for signs of bacteria; we can see or smell them.  A food past its date isn't necessarily unsafe.  The food with freezer burn in your freezer may taste freezer burned, but won't hurt you.

    Food Learn More about Silvopasture
Had you heard of the term silvopasture" before now? After learning more about it, what do you think is the biggest advantage of silvopasture?

I had not heard of a silvopasture, and it never dawned on me that having one could make for a more sustainable future.  It seems that a big advanatage, in addition to its sustainability, is that farmers can have more than one source of income from their farms.  This can help them when a disaster might wipe out one source.

I've thrown away less food after I learned what expiration dates really mean (or don't mean).
