  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food
Fun fact: Your brain and stomach register feelings of fullness after about 20 minutes of eating. While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come out of this?

Some other benefits we might get from eating smaller portions is staying fit and mainting healthy levels in our bodies. If we eat like this for a while we will continue to eat like this and we will get used to it. This will save many resources that may not be available at the rate of how much food we eat today.

Had you heard of the term silvopasture" before now? After learning more about it, what do you think is the biggest advantage of silvopasture?

No I have no heard of silvopasture before now. I think the biggest advantage of silvopasture is that it gives farmers and other people the chance to eat something natural. They will not be scared of any produced or chemicals in the food.

What do you think contributes to people in North America eating more meat than other countries, and what does this say about North American values and ways of living? How do we start shifting a meat-focused food culture?

The fact that Americans eat more meat than any other countries proves the fact that we have more animals an animal based products in our country. This says that more Americans can usually more obease. We start shifting a meat-focused food culture because if you realize now at restaurants there more meat products on the menu than meals without meat or animal products.
