Dorothy Brown 4/11/2018 9:02 AMI am interpreting zero food waste to mean that no edible food is wasted. However, parts of food preparation generate compostable materials. I compost everything. The changes I still need to make include completely switching to loose leaf tea and then seeing if the seller can reuse the metal containers in which it is sold. I stopped using my favorite tea, because it only came in nylon bags. I will ask the retailer if it can be ordered in bulk.-
Sue Barns 4/11/2018 9:33 AMTough to get to truly "zero waste" on anything, but you are certainly making some huge strides, Dorothy! I think "zero food waste" means zero goes to the landfill, but I'm not sure that is the official definition.
