REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportHow do your transportation choices affect your engagement in your community? Does your experience differ while walking, riding transit, biking or driving?
Max Butterworth 4/24/2018 8:53 AMI engage more in my community because of my choices to bike to school. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterialsHow could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle?
Max Butterworth 4/24/2018 8:50 AMI could and already do reuse to some extent. I could choose to use biodegradable items such as tooth brushes and tooth paste bottles. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodWhat do you think contributes to people in North America eating more meat than other countries, and what does this say about North American values and ways of living? How do we start shifting a meat-focused food culture?
Max Butterworth 4/24/2018 8:47 AMI think North Americans eat more meat than other countries because not only are we generally more wealthy and have a larger consuming class than other countries, but the culture is more consumerist. This says that North American values are geared more towards self satisfaction rather than mindfulness. We need to start teaching a environmentally mindful mindset to kids before they will shift their ways.
