    Timothy Carcel 4/25/2018 12:24 PM
I think that transport in an essential part of any community and we must make it so people can move around without causing carbon emissions.

    Timothy Carcel 4/25/2018 12:19 PM
The largest concern for me about climate change is that many of the largest producers aren't doing much to change their ways.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Materials
How can you take your action a step further?

    Timothy Carcel 4/25/2018 12:16 PM
Beyond using recycled paper we could try to not use paper and move toward more technology like google docs.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Land Use
Higher standards of living are very often dependent on moving our environmental costs elsewhere. What are some specific ways in which the environmental impacts of your own lifestyle might be shifted elsewhere?

    Timothy Carcel's avatar
    Timothy Carcel 4/25/2018 12:14 PM
The US as a superpower often ships many of its costs overseas this includes environmental and monetary to stop this I think that we should set a global precedent to combat climate change.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Electricity Generation
What inspires you to act on sustainable energy and other energy issues?

    Timothy Carcel's avatar
    Timothy Carcel 4/25/2018 12:10 PM
I think that sustainable energy will become increasingly important especially as space travel becomes easier.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

I think that Biomass is a very interesting form of energy generation but it can be harmful because you are burning things which create CO2 emissions.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Land Use
How is your diet currently impacting deforestation? What can you do to decrease your negative impact and increase your positive impact?

    Timothy Carcel's avatar
    Timothy Carcel 4/24/2018 3:10 PM
Many foods are grown in areas where there used to be forest especially in developing nations. So I think it is important that try to prevent this damage to forests worldwide while still helping developing nations
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

Refrigerants used to have many dangerous chemicals however we push for legislation change anything is possible
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Land Use
As you learn more about the scope and seriousness of the environmental challenges we face, what impact does that have on your thinking and actions? What are the parts that feel overwhelming? What parts help you feel hopeful?

    Timothy Carcel's avatar
    Timothy Carcel 4/24/2018 11:28 AM
Temperate forests are essential to slowing the effects of climate change worldwide.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food
Now that you know the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates, how will you view expiration dates differently?

    Timothy Carcel's avatar
    Timothy Carcel 4/24/2018 11:26 AM
I think that knowing sell by and best by dates can be confusing. I think that we should standardize this process to make it easier
