Support Women-Owned Businesses
#62 Women Smallholders
I will support women-owned businesses when I shop this month.

Support Local Food Systems
#4 Plant-Rich Diet
I will source 1 meal(s) from local producers each day. This could include signing up for a local CSA, buying from a farmer's market, visiting a food co-op, foraging with a local group, or growing my own ingredients.
Land Use
Support Indigenous Peoples' Land Management
#39 Indigenous Peoples' Land Management
I will donate to The Nature Conservancy, which works with Indigenous Peoples to secure land tenure and resource rights, support improved governance and local institutions, assist in natural resource mapping, planning and management; and strengthen livelihoods and sustainable economic development.

Buy Bamboo

When they are available, I will purchase products made from bamboo instead of wood, plastic, or metal.

#5 Tropical Forests
I will replace or remove products in my current diet that are known to contribute to deforestation.

Jeronima Carral 4/25/2018 11:43 AMThis experience has been really good. I love having daily reminders about all the things I can do to help the environment. It is easy and if we work together, even more so. -
Jeronima Carral 4/09/2018 6:57 PMI hadn't realized how many projects The Nature Conservancy has! Just donated to this cool organization! -
Jeronima Carral 4/05/2018 11:01 AMI have been eating a plant based diet for more than 7 years and I have found that it has medical benefits and that it is super easy and delicious. There are some great recipes in the Circle School Cookbook! My brother and sister in law are plant based doctors so I have medical information and also some good recipes that Im happy to share with whoever wants to challenge themselves and go plant based for a month (or more!) to save the planet! NOW I need to find a challenge for myself ;)
