REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricity GenerationWhat does your vision of a sustainable community look like? What would need to be changed in order for such vision to become reality?
Megan Carriere 4/25/2018 12:16 PMTotally gonna be a Debbie Downer - but in order for my vision of a sustainable community to come to fruition - we need to have a different administration leading this country forward. We've been moving backwards... -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportWhat did you find out? What is the most interesting fact you learned?
Megan Carriere 4/25/2018 11:52 AMExcited for autonomous vehicles to start impacting the discussion on transportation. It has so much potential to make a large impact on our transportation. -
Megan Carriere 4/25/2018 11:47 AMIf anyone is looking for a CSA - this one looks great! http://ploughandstarsproject.com/ -

REFLECTION QUESTIONLand UseAs you learn more about the scope and seriousness of the environmental challenges we face, what impact does that have on your thinking and actions? What are the parts that feel overwhelming? What parts help you feel hopeful?
Megan Carriere 4/25/2018 11:34 AMGoing to try to switch from paper to cloth where I can - we waste so many paper towels in my household. It's a small change but every effort helps! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodWhat did you find out? What is the most interesting fact you learned?
Megan Carriere 4/25/2018 11:10 AMThe impact of the food sector on greenhouse gas emission was fascinating to me, and understanding the magnitude. "This essential human activity is responsible for a major share of greenhouse gas emissions today: crop and livestock production is the source of about 1/8 of anthropogenic emissions. Land clearing (which is mostly for agriculture) is the source of another 1/8 of emissions." -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodClean air, clean water and healthy food are three reasons to care about regenerative agriculture. In what ways can you support your closest regenerative agriculture farm?
Megan Carriere 4/25/2018 9:47 AMI'm going to support local regenerative agriculture farms by researching which farms are closest to me and what program they offer, like a CSA.
