Melinda Chandos
"I've been an Earth-enthusiast my whole life. In childhood, I was obsessed with National Geographic specials--growing into an adult fascinated by space, wild weather, the animal kingdom, human cultures, and so much more. Being a sustainable human being is hard when immersed in the common American consumerist culture. It's my hope to stoke this passion and bring my daughter into global stewardship during our brief moment on this planet."

Melinda Chandos 4/04/2018 2:48 PMIt's Day 1! I overloaded my schedule today to properly dig in right now, but I am looking forward to reflection and study on my morning off tomorrow, with my newly selected actions! -
Melinda Chandos 3/16/2018 4:05 PMI love these group challenges. I feel sometimes I get tuned out by colleagues and friends when I share my passion for the Earth, and it can feel a little lonely sometimes, drowned in the glitz and glamour of the consumerist "wonderland." I had not heard of this book, so I am going to try to hunt it out at my library before I select my personal challenges, though I think skimming through the options I have some in mind. I firmly believe my daughter is going to be facing world challenges I haven't even imagined yet, so to me, this is all vital contribution.
