I think that it's a little bit late when I join this event. However, I will keep doing these beneficial things and I think I am ready for the next challenge.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food
What do you think contributes to people in North America eating more meat than other countries, and what does this say about North American values and ways of living? How do we start shifting a meat-focused food culture?

I still don't really understand the relation between them. But I think we can start shifting a meat-focused food culture by telling them the advantages of eating vegetables and other foods. Once they know the differences, they will choose the better one and then the culture will be changed gradually.

How does environmental quality influence your sense of community?

I think that if the environment quality is high, the community is better. Thus, I will be more proud of being a member of this community and want to take part in it to make the environment quality higher. It will form a virtuous cycle.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food
In North America, up to 65% of food waste happens at the consumer level. Chef Steven Satterfield advocates for utilizing every part of a vegetable. How can you incorporate using an entire vegetable, including the skins, tops, and stalks during your next meal prep?

First, I will search the recipe online to know how to cook each part of the vegetable and choose the most suitable one for my next try.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food
Dependable fresh food, supporting local farmers and building resilient communities are just a few benefits of local food systems. Which of these advantages inspire you the most?

The most inspirational things for me is that even a small thing I do could have an influence on the local food system.
