    I only cook what we will be able to eat at one meal. If that is not possible, then we are sure to eat the leftovers for lunch within a day or two.

    With just the two of us, sometimes it's difficult to prepare meals with no waste, but I do try to only make what we can eat; and we always save our leftovers to eat another time.

    What single-use items (e.g. straws, coffee cups, vegetable bags, plastic bags) do you regularly use? What could be substituted instead?

    Paper plates could be replaced with regular dinnerware.

    After recently moving to a condo, and becoming part a community, I've realized that we a all part of something bigger than  ourselves. So with that in mind, I've been trying to cut down on waste and recycle as much as possible and help take care of my surroundings.

    I've contacted my mutual funds and made arrangements to have my statements emailed instead of paper copies.
