REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricity GenerationWhat did you find out? What is the most interesting fact you learned?
Sara Garber 4/25/2018 6:01 PMThat almost 250 gigatons of co2 could be reduced by 2050 ( I didn’t even know gigatons was a thing, that’s HUGE!) -
REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricity GenerationGeothermal energy is reliable, abundant, and efficient. Project Drawdown states that public investment will play a crucial role in its expansion. What kind of investment seems most feasible for you?
-
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportReducing (or eliminating) exhaust emissions and improving public health are two benefits of green vehicles. What other motivators inspire you to consider switching to a more fuel-efficient vehicle?
-
REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterialsHow do you address your own feelings of concern, fear or despair about climate change?
Sara Garber 4/25/2018 9:18 AMI remind myself that even the smallest things can help reduce climate change, and continue to educate those around me the same thing. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterialsWhat concerns you the most about how we are affecting the planet? Consider both local and global actions.
-
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportHow do your transportation choices affect your engagement in your community? Does your experience differ while walking, riding transit, biking or driving?
Sara Garber 4/25/2018 9:12 AMDriving is definitely the most stressful option so I enjoy alternate modes of transportation. The train and biking, allow you to focus more on your surroundings and appreciate them, instead of constantly being caught on a highway or in a traffic jam. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodWhat did you find out? What is the most interesting fact you learned?
Sara Garber 4/24/2018 7:29 PMI didn’t know growing rice was so problematic. I think it’s interesting how we can improve cropping. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodNow that you know the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates, how will you view expiration dates differently?
Sara Garber 4/24/2018 7:22 PMI typically just do the smell/mold test so it’s good to know that we can still eat most items after the date listed.
