Connie Harlan 5/12/2018 8:22 AMI'm a nurse at Ohio Health, and get very frustrated with all the waste that is not recycled. There are many items daily that are placed in trash because of lack of education about recycling. There should be more recycle bins placed at the hospital and signage placed to remind others about recycling. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterialsName some of the human activities impacting the health of water systems, both locally (your watershed) and globally (freshwater and oceans). What can you do to improve the health of water systems?
Connie Harlan 5/12/2018 8:19 AMRun off from industry. Dumping of wastes i.e. used oils etc into waterways. Use of pesticides/fertilizers that are "earth friendly". Dumping of plastics into oceans. Trash anywhere affects the earth and eventually goes into our waterways. -
Connie Harlan 3/31/2018 8:58 AMWill complete mulching in within the next month. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterialsHow could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle?
Connie Harlan 3/31/2018 8:57 AMRecycle everything possible in my home. Take other plastics to places i.e. Giant Eagle where they recycle different items. Need someplace to take Styrofoam items which are still used by many places.
