Participant Feed

Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.

To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

  • REFLECTION QUESTION

I will make better decisions and pay more attention to these things when shopping.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food
In what other ways can you exercise your civic duty to protect the environment and reduce carbon emissions?

    Steven Head's avatar
    Steven Head 4/24/2018 10:13 AM
I can go out and spread awareness through things like social media, or my friends and family.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Land Use
Higher standards of living are very often dependent on moving our environmental costs elsewhere. What are some specific ways in which the environmental impacts of your own lifestyle might be shifted elsewhere?

    Steven Head's avatar
    Steven Head 4/24/2018 10:06 AM
If I make my lifestyle more energy efficient, then the overall earth will become cleaner, and things like climate change will reduce.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Buildings and Cities
Why do you care about taking action on climate change?

    Steven Head's avatar
    Steven Head 4/24/2018 10:03 AM
Because I feel like everyone knows how big of a problem it is, but no one wants to do anything about it, and if we don't do anything, then the future generations will pay the price.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Electricity Generation
Every dollar you put into solar or wind is a dollar not put into traditional financial institutions. You'll also be bolstering the fossil fuel divestment movement, too. What are some companies you know of that invest in green energy, and how can you support them?

    Steven Head's avatar
    Steven Head 4/24/2018 9:45 AM
Acciona and Aleo Solar are two companies that invest in green energy, and to support them I can donate money to them.

    Steven Head's avatar
    Steven Head 4/24/2018 9:43 AM
