Nicholas Hoch 4/25/2018 4:13 PMPGE offers a program to donate $10/month to help restore and protect local water habitat directly affecting wild salmon. Supporting a local effort to prioritize Portland as being a "river oriented city" once again would change the way the entire city views water and interacts with it. REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodIn North America, up to 65% of food waste happens at the consumer level. Chef Steven Satterfield advocates for utilizing every part of a vegetable. How can you incorporate using an entire vegetable, including the skins, tops, and stalks during your next meal prep?
Nicholas Hoch 4/20/2018 11:48 AMChoosing wisely is the more important part at making this a viable option for me personally. I usually don't have a lot of time to prep and prepare food on a nightly basis for dinner. I have to think about it more when I go to the grocery store. This limits me in a fun way to use particular fruits and vegetables and other products in more creative way than I usually might approach a recipe.
