    Electricity Generation
What are other ways in which developing countries without the same infrastructure as developed nations can bypass old ways of doing things for cleaner and more environmentally friendly technologies?

By creating locally operated microgrids.  By adopting low embodied energy renewable technologies.  Such as gravity fed clean water systems (rather than pumps).  By orienting and building their dwellings with good solar and wind orientations.  By planting shade trees in hot climates.  By not buying western hi-energy demand appliances (Dryers, Big fridges, etc).
