I will use the dates to inform my decision whether to consider eating something or not. I will also pay closer attention to the dates when shopping so I am more aware of what is close dated and eat that first.

    Food
In North America, up to 65% of food waste happens at the consumer level. Chef Steven Satterfield advocates for utilizing every part of a vegetable. How can you incorporate using an entire vegetable, including the skins, tops, and stalks during your next meal prep?

I set the stems to the side from mushrooms and used them along with carrot tops and celery tops and the root to make a vegetable stock. This is a good way to use all parts of the vegetable.
