  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food
What do you think contributes to people in North America eating more meat than other countries, and what does this say about North American values and ways of living? How do we start shifting a meat-focused food culture?

Factory farming and a culture that considers meat items a necessity for every meal has plagued our culture here in North America. I believe it was the drive to make money and bring this convenience to people nation wide is the reason for this issue. The attitude of accepting no less than instant gratification has made Americans fat, unhealthy and under educated about how to feed themselves sustainably and conscientiously.
