Now that you know the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates, how will you view expiration dates differently?

I will not be so quick to throw away items that seem perfectly fine but have a best by date on them.

I realize that I have wasted quite a bit of food - more lately because I've become so aware of dates.

I will buy only what I really need so that fewer items will become outdated before I can use them.  I learned that you can donate items past the date on the can or item if they have been properly stored and especially if they are not perishable.
