REFLECTION QUESTIONBuildings and CitiesHow do you anticipate replacing your thermostats for smart ones will positively impact your life?
Tuhin Misri 4/21/2018 9:59 AMReplacing the thermostat with a smart one has given me more control and ingrained a sense of energy consumption awareness. I have been able to reduce consumption by learning creative means to heat and cool home naturally. -
Tuhin Misri 4/19/2018 7:29 PMI am gradually starting to contemplate each choice and question my decisions by their impact to our environment. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLand UseHow is your diet currently impacting deforestation? What can you do to decrease your negative impact and increase your positive impact?
Tuhin Misri 4/18/2018 9:07 PMUse of products involving palm oil, coffee, soy, etc. are causing deforestation, due to increasing demand. I would focus towards vegan diet to create a positive impact and also impact this knowledge to others, who don’t know the source and impact of these common foods in our diet. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricity GenerationWhat did you learn about wave and tidal energy? Were you surprised by the information you found?
Tuhin Misri 4/18/2018 9:04 PMLearned about the potential of wave and tidal energy along with the science behind it. Was surprised by the opportunity offered by this renewable energy source, which can be harnessed to counter dirty energy sources. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterialsHow could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle?

REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodWhat do you think contributes to people in North America eating more meat than other countries, and what does this say about North American values and ways of living? How do we start shifting a meat-focused food culture?
Tuhin Misri 4/18/2018 5:09 PMConsumers need to be educated using facts rather than biased perceptions so that informed decisions can be taken. Most people would think twice if they knew how the meat on their table in produced. Just presenting the food in neat packaging is deceptive to shoppers as they don’t know the supply chain behind it. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricity GenerationWhat does your vision of a sustainable community look like? What would need to be changed in order for such vision to become reality?
Tuhin Misri 4/17/2018 8:52 PMWe would need to first make people aware of the detrimental impact of energy generation via non renewable sources or dirty source (coal) and then look for options to consider like switching to a green energy provide or even installing a solar panel. Will organize it for our community. -
