REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodDependable fresh food, supporting local farmers and building resilient communities are just a few benefits of local food systems. Which of these advantages inspire you the most?
Bonnie Post 4/17/2018 8:26 AMHaving access to food that is grown locally is very important to me, as it is fresher and more nutritious. Whenever possible, I purchase locally grown food from the Boise Co-op or farm stands. And when gardening season is in full swing, there is nothing better than eating food right from our own garden. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLand UseHow is your diet currently impacting deforestation? What can you do to decrease your negative impact and increase your positive impact?
Bonnie Post 4/07/2018 7:00 PMI read that the production of palm oil is one of the major contributors of deforestation. I will be more careful about eliminating products that contain it. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLand UseAre bamboo alternatives readily available in your community? If not, what are other sustainable alternatives?
Bonnie Post 4/04/2018 8:14 AMBamboo items seem to be readily available. My latest bamboo purchase was a small cutting board at our local Bed, Bath, and Beyond.
