I've loved nature since I was a kid at the St Louis zoo or vacationing at Lake of the Ozarks. I had a rock collection started by a neighbor when I was 5. I first realized human impact on nature when I read, Diet for a Small Planet. I have always read Sci Fi which generally pictures future Earth as a cesspool. After the US was pulled from the Paris Act, I attended a Climate Realty Training, joined Citizens Climate Lobby and am helping as much as I can, meeting amazing people on the way.

The food world-awareness hit me with The Omnivore's Dilemma,  then I read everything I could get my hands on about the industry, the cycle, the impact, etc. I too am a Sci-Fi fan--I feel like I've always been an optimist with a dark sense of humor. That's so awesome that you actively took Climate training and are part of the Citizens Lobby.  I feel like that is my inevitable next step. The more I learn, the more I can't disengage from it!
