REFLECTION QUESTIONBuildings and CitiesWhy do you care about taking action on climate change?
Ariana Robbins 4/25/2018 9:28 AMClimate change is greatly affecting the world and needs to be reversed. If we do not act soon and altogether, it will not be reversible. Many people don't realize that they are contributing to climate change or how big of a deal it is. If we do not work to reverse climate change, many species of animals may go extinct, including animals that are important to the environment. Too much heat is getting trapped in the atmosphere. Ice is melting and sea levels are rising. Climate change needs to be stopped. -

REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodFun fact: Your brain and stomach register feelings of fullness after about 20 minutes of eating. While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come out of this?
Ariana Robbins 4/25/2018 9:18 AMIt will help there to be less food waste so more food can go to people who do not have the money to buy their own. It will also help financially because you won't have to buy as much food. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWomen and GirlsWhat are some of the barriers that exist to women's equal participation and/or representation in your community?
Ariana Robbins 4/25/2018 7:40 AMPeople believe that women are weaker than men so they are not represented equally. This happens in positions of power as well. Women are not represented equally and are expected to not participate equally as men. Most barriers come from labels that are put on women that are not necessarily true. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodNow that you know the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates, how will you view expiration dates differently?
Ariana Robbins 4/25/2018 7:30 AMThe use by, sell by, and best by dates are all very different. Expiration dates are not always exact and you should always check the date before buying food.
