Enjoyed the challenges, have collected plastic waste from the area around my house, several acres and many rubbish bag fulls. Have planted several bamboos and have started a veg plot.

I am reading Factfulness by Hans Rosling, very worthwhile reading as in most ways the world is a better place to live but climate change is an exception, however it is possible to reverse. Usually you only hear the bad news but did you know the UK went 55 hours without burning any coal to produce  electricity  for the first time  since the industrial revolution.

After a recent flood near my house a lot of bamboo was washed down and I have salvaged some and replanted in my garden some as already sprouting new shoots. I have collected wood and bamboo to dry and will use as fire wood next winter.

Read Drawdown, saw that climate change can be reversed, gave me hope and ideas. Started by planting some bamboo improving my rainwater harvesting.
