  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Women and Girls
Globally, women typically invest a higher proportion of their earnings in their families and communities than men. How can you better support communities by supporting women?

Research the business that  you consider frequenting or visiting and find out who owns it.  See if that meets your needs and reflects your values and is a business you would like to support. This helps that business thrive over a generic big business that is not as personable.

Virtual meetings are a standard for my company. We have staff that span 4 states and some even further.  Virtual meetings connect the team as often as needed and not dependent on travel schedules.

Not only can I use recycled paper when I do purchase paper items, but I also use cloth napkins instead of paper napkins with meals. There are ways to reduce paper and plastic use that can be very creative including recycle and composting.

I want to prioritize money management and finances over material 'stuff'. I am reading Dave Ramsey's "The Total Money Makeover".

Every day I use a glass water bottle the entire day. I add essential oils for flavor and wellness.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food
Fun fact: Your brain and stomach register feelings of fullness after about 20 minutes of eating. While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come out of this?

Smaller plates make it LOOK like you have more on your plate than you actually do.

Now that you know the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates, how will you view expiration dates differently?

I am definitely going to use the product well before the use by date or I will give them to someone who can/will use them before that date so it is not an unused/tossed/wasted product.
