Megan Smith 4/25/2018 6:43 AMEcoChallenges are great because they keep you conscious of your daily choices and promote a sustainable lifestyle. I will for sure be participating next year as well! Just because it is the last day of the challenge, don't stop practicing sustainability in the work place and at home DAILY! -
Megan Smith 4/20/2018 8:39 AMI posted a friendly reminder on doors around our branch to remind my fellow coworkers to turn off the lights when not in use. I've also been using the same sheet of scratch paper I've had for two months now - I realize this is a bit excessive however, I'm proud of myself for using that ONE sheet of paper over two months! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodFun fact: Your brain and stomach register feelings of fullness after about 20 minutes of eating. While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come out of this?
Megan Smith 4/19/2018 12:48 PMGiving your body time to register the fact that you're full is beneficial to your health. This practice prevents you from overeating and keeping you body healthy and in good shape. -
Megan Smith 4/16/2018 8:42 AMI convinced my manager to stop printing our daily plans and to start emailing them! I'm just hoping he sticks to it... -
Megan Smith 4/04/2018 6:27 AMI led a sustainability in the work place meeting to get my colleagues to turn off lights when they're not in use, to email the daily plans rather than printing them off, push recycling, etc.. I also get to work by taking the bus, walking or biking - I've been doing this for the past two years. I recycle as much as I can at work and at home. I'm always looking for new ways to live more sustainably and to get others around me to do the same.
