REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterialsWhat single-use items (e.g. straws, coffee cups, vegetable bags, plastic bags) do you regularly use? What could be substituted instead?
Conor Stuhrcke 4/25/2018 12:02 PMI bought my entire family, who all love drinking from straws, reusable silicon straws. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterialsHow could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle?
Conor Stuhrcke 4/25/2018 12:01 PMI'm a consistent believer that you should always try to fix everything before you buy a new one. Last week instead of purchasing a new bathroom fan, which had stopped working, I decided to try and fix it. It was a simple electric motor which had many different materials. The cause of the problem turned out to be a 30 cent capacitor which I went to the local hardware store to purchase. In conclusion, I not only reused but I saved money as well as learned something I didn't know before. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLand UseAre bamboo alternatives readily available in your community? If not, what are other sustainable alternatives?
