REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterials Fix Leaky FaucetsWhat are other easy and low-cost ways to reduce your water usage at home?
Tara Ward 4/19/2018 8:15 AMMake sure faucets are all the way off. Use very little water on dishes before they are put in high-efficiency dishwasher. Do not wash hair every single day. Pour glasses of water that aren't drunk in dog's water bowl. Only wash full loads of laundry. Don't let kids change their pants and pajamas daily!-
Sara Boys 4/23/2018 6:44 PMAll good habits. Thanks for sharing. I need to take up the habit of not rinsing dishes before put into HE dishwasher. Could just scape them. Good idea.

REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Reduce Animal ProductsWhat do you think contributes to people in North America eating more meat than other countries, and what does this say about North American values and ways of living? How do we start shifting a meat-focused food culture?
Tara Ward 4/19/2018 8:08 AMTradition is the big thing. Once you break with the meaty tradition, it's not hard at all. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWomen and Girls Research Barriers to Participation and RepresentationWhat are some of the barriers that exist to women's equal participation and/or representation in your community?
Tara Ward 4/19/2018 8:07 AMChild care is a huge barrier in our community. It is so expensive, and so limited, especially for babies. And there is a lot of poor child care out there. It is usually the mother's job and life that are more affected by this than the father's. I feel fortunate to work for an organization where I have been able to raise my family while working. My husband's job did not allow the needed flexibility. That's pretty unfair. -
Tara Ward 4/19/2018 8:04 AMGetting rid of junk mail is not as easy as you might think. Though I have opted out many times over the years, the number of junk mailers I get slowly creeps back up. I will keep looking for ways to receive less paper mail. -
