I wasn't as on top of tracking my points as I should've been. But I learned a lot about how much fossil fuels I'm using by driving and I've cut back on that. I also looked into organizations that are helping girls and women and I'm going to start contributing more in a ways that I can. I have the opportunity to become a mentor for a young girl, especially a young girl of color, and I'm going to take the steps to do that.

Transport Test Drive an Electric Bike
Half of all trips made in the US are three miles or less; 72% of them are driven. Private vehicles account for 60% of trips of a mile or less. Do you feel that these facts apply to you? If so, how might you incorporate an electric bike into your lifestyle?

I've been using public transportation a lot more in my commute to work. I take a bus, light rail and a ferry so I've been cutting down on my driving significantly, but I think that incorporating an electric bike I could run my errands on the weekend without having to use my car. I tested out one of those lime bikes that are electric and I really liked it and think it could be a feasible thing.

Women and Girls Research Barriers to Participation and Representation
What are some of the barriers that exist to women's equal participation and/or representation in your community?

I think some barriers that exist to women's equal participation and/or representation in my community is opportunities. There are organizations working really hard to increase those opportunities, but I still feel like it's not enough. Women are also pushed into a box of what society thinks they can handle or do and I think that's wrong. We have to start asking these girls and women what they want to do, and what they think they can do. It's not up to society to decide.

How has your access to various kinds of transporation throughout your life influenced your current attitudes about transportation and your transportation behavior?

I've always had access to public transportation, when I was in elementary school I used to take the metro to school everyday. I value living in a neighborhood that has access to buses and light rails because they're convenient and better for the environment.

My company's values and cultures fit perfectly with virtual meetings. We work from home two days a week and regularly hold meeting with ZOOM.
