Clearly there are many alternatives to fossil fuels that can be explored and improved upon with little up front cost. It would seem that sustainable energy is on the back burner for most in government because the crisis is not apparent. This frustrates me so I am inspired speak up on sustainable energy. Our representatives are elected to voice our concerns. We shouldn't feel that our commentary is bothersome or irrelevant, when our opinions are in fact central to the work of our representatives.

    Food Smaller Portions
Fun fact: Your brain and stomach register feelings of fullness after about 20 minutes of eating. While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come out of this?

I feel better eating smaller portions -- it in fact gives me more energy. I also feel so much better knowing I enjoyed every little bit of food without throwing anything out.
