REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterialsWhat concerns you the most about how we are affecting the planet? Consider both local and global actions.
Jonah Wolfson 4/25/2018 9:46 AMPeople are very focused on money and themselves so they don't care if what they are doing is bad for the earth as long as they can make money and it doesn't affect them. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLand UseAs you learn more about the scope and seriousness of the environmental challenges we face, what impact does that have on your thinking and actions? What are the parts that feel overwhelming? What parts help you feel hopeful?
Jonah Wolfson 4/25/2018 9:45 AMIt makes me more conscious of my actions and the decisions that I make. The parts that feel overwhelming are that a lot of people are not conscious of there actions at all which could lead to a lot of pollution. How ever I feel hopeful because I used to not pay very much attention to my actions but now I do more and if I can do that everyone can. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricity GenerationMicro turbines can be placed on large structures to take advantage of stronger, steadier breezes. The Eiffel Tower now sports vertical axis turbines that produce electricity for use on site. Where could micro turbines potentially be installed in your city?
Jonah Wolfson 4/25/2018 9:39 AMOn tops of tall buildings in the downtown area, or even on tops of some cellular phone towers scattered throughout the mountains such as Mt. Pigsa. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLand UseHow is your diet currently impacting deforestation? What can you do to decrease your negative impact and increase your positive impact?
Jonah Wolfson 4/23/2018 9:48 AMI personally drink coffee almost every morning as well as eggs and other dairy products. I also eat a lot of meat for dinners. I could start to begin eat other alternative to meat like tofu which my family and I have begun to do. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricity GenerationGeothermal energy is reliable, abundant, and efficient. Project Drawdown states that public investment will play a crucial role in its expansion. What kind of investment seems most feasible for you?

REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodIn North America, up to 65% of food waste happens at the consumer level. Chef Steven Satterfield advocates for utilizing every part of a vegetable. How can you incorporate using an entire vegetable, including the skins, tops, and stalks during your next meal prep?
Jonah Wolfson 4/23/2018 9:14 AMUsing the skins as a sort of seasoning or using grounded up tops to create different consistency in the meal. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterialsWhat would a sustainable water future in your region look like? What needs to change?
Jonah Wolfson 4/23/2018 9:12 AMMore people need to realize the effects of using large amounts of water. As well as more people installing low low faucets and shower heads. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportTake a moment to think of places you frequent often (work, grocery store, natural areas). Could you choose one or two days a week to schedule driving with a friend, neighbor or co-worker to these places?

REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricity GenerationHad you ever heard of biomass techonology before this? What did you learn that surprised you? Share this with your friends!
Jonah Wolfson 4/17/2018 9:24 AMI knew a little bit about biomass and what is does but this helped me see ways it is used in the real world. Also went more into depth on how it is produced. I was surprised by how little biomass is used across the world even though it has been used for centuries of time.
