REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Support Local Food SystemsDependable fresh food, supporting local farmers and building resilient communities are just a few benefits of local food systems. Which of these advantages inspire you the most?
Miranda Zhang 4/13/2018 6:05 PMDefinitely the reduced environmental impact, since that's what drives most of my lifestyle changes! Of course, supporting the local economy and better working conditions are a huge upside. : ) -
REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterials Properly Dispose of RefrigerantsHow do you address your own feelings of concern, fear or despair about climate change?
Miranda Zhang 4/09/2018 8:09 PMI remind myself that feeling down won't contribute to anything productive. I can't control the speed at which climate change is occurring so I can only focus on doing the best I know how to.
Most of the time it's anger or frustration, really, in which case I remind myself that intense emotion is not always the best way to engage with others on this issue. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWomen and Girls Connect With A NonprofitWhat are the most pressing womens' and girls' issues in your community?
-
REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterials Go PaperlessWhat do you want to prioritize over material 'stuff' in your own life?
Miranda Zhang 4/07/2018 7:01 AMMy relationships, particularly my friends! And, I suppose, self-growth - but then that's alawys my priority... -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Keep Track of Wasted FoodAn average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Where would you rather use this money?
Miranda Zhang 4/07/2018 5:05 AMOoh. I'd probably save it, a portion of which would then go towards charity - the One Acre Fund seems appropriate! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWomen and Girls Start a Social Media CampaignHow are people responding to the statistics you're sharing on social media?
Miranda Zhang 4/07/2018 5:04 AMThey're liking my posts but not commenting or really engaging... Any tips?
