    I'm guilty of going to the store with the best intentions and buying food that ends up going bad because I'm not diligent in making sure a cook what's in the house. Lately, I've been finding creative ways to make sure and use everything I buy. BTW, would you actually eat this part of the zucchini? I guess you blend it up? :)

    I have heard some info on biomass but didn't really understand what it was. I loved the story on the Burns, Oregon school that replaced their coal heat for a biomass solution. I was surprised to hear that on top of it being a more sustainable option it would also save them 80% on their heating...

    Growing up we always had a "balanced" dinner that would include meat, veggies and some type of starch. It was just the norm. To shift the culture we need education and solutions for how to prepare and choose well balanced meals without the meat. Also I don't think most people have really thought about why they eat meat, they just do...
