    I read about a sperm whale which died from 64 pounds of plastic in its belly. We are literally starving life in the oceans from marine life eating plastics instead of real nutrition.

    I bought bread wrapped in plastic last week. I'll buy bread from a bakery that packages its loaves in paper or nothing.

    My why: WILD places, people, animals. The quiet of wilderness feeds my soul. The running of WILD rivers regulates my flow. The vast white spaces of Vail's Back Bowls Xpand my imagination. These, conserved, are not apart from me, they are my home, the places I go from Colorado to California to Hawaii to Alaska..
