Completed two cycle rides on Sunday, when I could have used my car. Less fumes in the air, promotion of cycling by example, ate all my cake with no worry about my health and I could have a glass or two of red wine with my family. Result!

When making tea fill the cup(s) with water then empty cup into kettle. Saves on usage of water and the energy to heat the water up. Saves you money as well! There's should bo no water left in the kettle once you've made your drink.

Don't buy bottled water. Nothing wrong with tap water.

Electric scooters are an option for me going forward. Fun to use and easy to store in confined places (on a narrowboat for example).

I've been amazed by the UK National Grid! Check out www.gridwatch.co.uk to see live monitoring of UK Electricity National Grid Demand and Output per Production Type. It's very illuminating. Suggested by my team mate Ken Lennon.

I watched a video on biomass energy production for a community in Oregon. Renewable energy from sustainable source but still carbon based. Will read about other renewables next solar and wind.

Went to the gym today and walked instead of using the car. No brainer really.

Thanks Erin, It is one of those things (the bin) that I've been meaning to do for ages (we're talking years here!!) and the Ecochallenge has got me to do it. Small changes add up to big progress when viewed collectively.
