We have started separating compostable food waste from land-fill. The first week was insightful, with a larger volume going to compost than landfill.

Highlights of the day! For the first time i do have a small compost bin in my yard. I have been using my yard debris.  Will add 

Haven't used pesticides on our pear tree for a few years now.  Hoping neem extract will keep the coddling moth away this year. 

Spent a couple of hours pulling out blackberries at the bottom of the yard so I can mulch around a large fir tree.   Almost there!!

The eco challenge actions inspire healthy habits as they group collectively strive for a noble goal.

I collected paper shreddings from school and used as mulch around a small plant! 

It is going well so far! Have been mindful of the things i can compost .

Appears this was something that was in the grapevine all the time. thanks for confirming and validating...

For the first time this week i mowed lawn with a bagless mower. 

Weeded the base of 3 trees, covered with 6 inches of shreaded paper and a layer of wood mulch!!
