REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricity Generation Learn More About Geothermal EnergyGeothermal energy is reliable, abundant, and efficient. Project Drawdown states that public investment will play a crucial role in its expansion. What kind of investment seems most feasible for you?
Morgan Moser 4/24/2018 8:01 PMI think a feasable investment would be something that would decrease our electrical bill so that it will eventually pay for itself. My house has a heat pump already and that was a feasable investment, however I don't think much else would be. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBuildings and Cities Research Heat PumpsWhy do you care about taking action on climate change?
Morgan Moser 4/24/2018 7:35 PMI care about climate change becuase the thought that my kids or grandkids won't have the earth that I have to live on makes me sad. I think about how horribly we treat our earth and the consequences it will have on furutre generations. Our earth is all we have and it is completley unnecessaty that we destroy it for comfort. We are so set in our ways of living the way we want to that we're too lazy to see what we're doing to our planet and to stop it. I want to be part of the future generation that stops treating our earth like the generations before and saves it from us. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Learn More about SilvopastureHad you heard of the term silvopasture" before now? After learning more about it, what do you think is the biggest advantage of silvopasture?
Morgan Moser 4/24/2018 9:55 AMI had never heard the term "silvopasture" before I researched it. Silvopasture is the mixing of livestock like cows and trees. The best part about silvopasture is how it's win-win. It's better for the environment, the animals, and more profitable. Silvopasture provides shade for the cows, the grass is more nutrient and the trees absorb some of the carbon. The trees and their products can be harvested and turned into something during off seasons, which creats a more consistent flow of income for the farmer.
