As American's I feel like we are so far removed from our food sources.  I bet most people doing this challenge are more aware than average when it comes to veggies and meat, but what about the middle aisle stuff that we buy?  The stuff that is still necessary occasionally but has all of the unrecognizable ingredients.... that is where I feel like I have learned so much through this challenge.  The stuff that I'm using that is unknowingly severely hurting other parts of the world.  I know we have to pick our battles but thanks to this challenge I am aware of more that I need to pick!

So sad that this is ending!  It has been such a great experience.  I have learned so much and feel way more informed.  Thank you Jason and Rachel for encouraging this!

You guys, I didn't know that palm oil was such a bad thing.  And that it seems to be in EVERYTHING!  Trying a new toothpaste now....

We love the farm connection! http://www.thefarmconnection.org
It's better than a CSA and Farmers market. So frustrating trying to make it to the Farmers market early enough before everything is sold out, but not really knowing what is going to be there either. With the farm connection you order online, and your veggies are picked the day before you pick them up. That's called super nutrient dense food.  I highly recommend checking it out.
