REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterials Recycle Everything I CanHow could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle?
Dianna Anderson 4/25/2018 5:24 PMI can definitely reduce consumption in my household by making meals and not wasting food. I can be more picky about the materials I allow my family to purchase- packing materials are a big one. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLand Use Forest-Friendly Foods 2How difficult or easy was it to change your diet?
Dianna Anderson 4/25/2018 5:22 PMIt was pretty easy to change my diet in this challenge. The main change was to start looking for shade grown coffee. It is easy to find if you're looking. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterials Choose Recycled PaperHow can you take your action a step further?
Dianna Anderson 4/25/2018 5:21 PMUsing less paper in general, and reusing paper when possible. Also, assigning less paper dependent work in my classes. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood compostingProducing uneaten food squanders many resources—seeds, water, energy, land, fertilizer, hours of labor, financial capital. Which of these motivates you the most to change your behavior regarding food waste?
Dianna Anderson 4/25/2018 5:20 PMWater use, energy, and land use motivate me the most to change my behavior regarding food waste. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Reduce Animal ProductsWhat do you think contributes to people in North America eating more meat than other countries, and what does this say about North American values and ways of living? How do we start shifting a meat-focused food culture?
Dianna Anderson 4/12/2018 7:58 PMI have been mostly meatless for about 3 years. For this challenge, I eliminated fish and limited dairy products. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricity Generation Learn More about BiomassHad you ever heard of biomass techonology before this? What did you learn that surprised you? Share this with your friends!
Dianna Anderson 4/12/2018 7:56 PMI read the chapter in Drawdown and was surprised to learn that biomass technology is being practiced prevalently, but not as responsibly as it needs to be to be a viable choice.

Dianna Anderson 4/12/2018 7:54 PMI chose the actions that made most sense for me, and then a few that seemed to be more challenging. I can control my diet easily, but recycling is a challenge. I ride my bike or run to work often, but I feel shy about contacting the person in control of bike paths. I'm curious about clean energy sources and modes of transportation. I'm very interested in investing in businesses run by women, and finding out what these businesses are is the first step.
