REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterials Go PaperlessWhat do you want to prioritize over material 'stuff' in your own life?
Alexander Atanian 4/19/2018 5:06 PMI want to prioritize self reflection, critical thinking, and family over material things in my life. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterials Install a Low-Flow ShowerheadWhat would a sustainable water future in your region look like? What needs to change?
Alexander Atanian 4/19/2018 4:54 PMA sustainable future of water would have water being at a low to free cost to the consumer although highly unlikely. Society needs to learn to live more without plastic bottles and buy reusable tumblers to have a drink from instead. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricity Generation Learn More About Geothermal EnergyGeothermal energy is reliable, abundant, and efficient. Project Drawdown states that public investment will play a crucial role in its expansion. What kind of investment seems most feasible for you?
Alexander Atanian 4/19/2018 4:41 PMThe most feasible investment into geothermal energy would be to invest in a greenhouse to grow fruit bearing plants. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransport Improve a Bus StopHow can you advocate for transportation systems which minimize environmental impact while also meeting human needs?
Alexander Atanian 4/18/2018 8:50 AMYou can accomplish this goal by looking into the implementation of electric vehicles in public transportation such as buses, trains, and bikes that run on the power of electricity. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLand Use Learn about Temperate ForestsAs you learn more about the scope and seriousness of the environmental challenges we face, what impact does that have on your thinking and actions? What are the parts that feel overwhelming? What parts help you feel hopeful?
Alexander Atanian 4/18/2018 8:48 AMThe environmental challenges that we face as a species impacts me by making me consider acting consciously in an effort to save energy and prevent waste from entering the atmosphere and plaguing the earth's surface. Statistics for CO2 emissions overwhelm me because such large numbers make me think that any action done to help is worthless. I'm hopeful in knowing that a decent chunk of people out there actually try to support the prevention of waste on our planet and make planet Earth a nicer place to be. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBuildings and Cities Choose LED BulbsChanging lightbulbs is an excellent first step toward energy efficiency! What's next?
Alexander Atanian 4/18/2018 8:40 AMNext I would have to say that I would use less power in my everyday life by unplugging my appliances when not in use to save on energy and help the environment.
