REFLECTION QUESTIONTransport Use Muscle PowerHow do your transportation choices affect your engagement in your community? Does your experience differ while walking, riding transit, biking or driving?
Yeyi Chen 4/05/2018 9:54 AMYou can have more exposure to the people that live in your community if you use public transportation (if they're willing to talk to you that is, lol). The experience is definitely different because there's the time differences that depends on what method you chose to utilize, and if you're on transit, walking or biking you often have the liberty to really look around and kind of take everything in - where as when it comes to driving, it takes up more of your attention and focus (well, maybe it's only because I'm a bad driver so I really need to pay close attention to everything ;-;). -

REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Smaller PortionsFun fact: Your brain and stomach register feelings of fullness after about 20 minutes of eating. While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come out of this?
Yeyi Chen 4/05/2018 9:44 AMYou won't feel guilty about how much you've eaten and you can avoid that uneasy bloated feeling afterwards! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWomen and Girls Learn about the Need for Family PlanningWhat did you learn about the need for family planning? Share some of the learning with your friends!

REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Zero-waste CookingIn North America, up to 65% of food waste happens at the consumer level. Chef Steven Satterfield advocates for utilizing every part of a vegetable. How can you incorporate using an entire vegetable, including the skins, tops, and stalks during your next meal prep?
Yeyi Chen 4/05/2018 9:40 AMSoup! And substituting in those various parts (skins, tops, and stalks) for other ingredients that have similar texture, flavor or consistency for other dishes that you're making? -
