    Food Smaller Portions
    Fun fact: Your brain and stomach register feelings of fullness after about 20 minutes of eating. While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come out of this?

    I would rather use this money on paying college expenses.

    The beef industry in America is huge. We produce so much meat to accommodate a culture that's used to eating a lot of meat. We have to prioritize eating vegetables and fruit and educate those who think lots of protein is necessary in a diet.

    It's important to visit restaurants owned by women and to advertise them to your friends. It lets others see how successful women can be and allows you to try a variety of quality products.

    According to the World Health Organization, two-hundred and fourteen million women out of those of reproductive age in developing countries are not using using modern contraceptive methods. Not only is this increasing the risk of transmitting HIV/Aids and other sexually transmitted diseases, it is also making it difficult for families to determine the number of children they will have. There are also a significant number of health-related concerns that can arise when a woman is pregnant at a young age. Our population size is already getting alarmingly high, so if women aren’t given access to affordable contraceptives we will soon run out of resources and space.

    I care about preventing more climate change because I want our environment and our resources to be protected. If we cannot take care of our environment then we will have nothing left. With rising temperatures we will lose crops, land, and valuable species.
