How could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle?

There is always a draw -- or perhaps a corporate push -- to invest in "new" : new car, new kitchen, new appliances, new clothes, etc. Sometimes these purchases may well be worth it, necessary, or environmentally helpful options; other times it is perpetuating the cycle of waste generation as "old" materials are discarded. I will try to spend more time being thoughtful about "new" purchases and consider the environmental impact of each.
