Today I was researching options to offset our ticket to the UK in June. There are some big companies out there who will support projects worldwide like myclimate and atmosfair.
I wanted to know though what my money would be spend on and settled for plantfortheplanet.org a non-profit organisation which is not only planting trees, but supporting children worldwide. I was able to decide how much of my donation would go into planting trees and how much towards education for children to raise climate awareness.
And now we will have 10 more trees on this planet thanks to my trip abroad ;)

Sounds like a great organisation to offset flights with! Very much focused on the children!
